Jeff Bowman is Miami's consummate concierge. The
41 year old founder of VIP South Beach transforms
tourist clients into instant "insiders" for a nominal
fee:"We are not living in the typical city," explains
Bowman, who once modeled for Wilhelmina Models and
owned a share of the now defunct Chili Pepper and
Brant's Break nightclubs. "The scene is always changing,
and its hard to stay up-to-date. You need to know
where to stay, where to eat and where to party on
which days of the week." Born in Baton Rouge
and raised in Coral Gables, Bowman moved to Manhattan
at age 20 and modeled between New York and |
Europe until 1993. He
spent the next seven years building his clubs into
hotspots, making a strong network of community connections
and directing "out of town friends and their friends
and their friends" to Miami's A-list venues. Two
years ago he, he chose to capitalize on his sought-after
